Roots was born from a straightforward concept and the determination to realize it. In 1973, Michael Budman and Don Green founded Roots, driven by their love for Ontario’s Algonquin Park and its significance to them. Launching in Toronto with footwear, Roots expanded to offer premium leather bags, jackets, accessories, their iconic salt & pepper sweats, clothing made from natural fibers, and home decor. Our leather goods have always been, and remain, crafted in Canada at our own Toronto facility.
